PR 1.2 makes a long press of a hardware key enter the Fn-shifted character displayed on the key. Well, what it actually does, is enter the normal character, followed by Backspace, followed by the Fn-shifted character. This doesn't work well with vi, which interprets every character as a separate command.
Is there a way to disable this feature and return the regular key
autorepeat?

There is an almost obvious extension of interfaces that would allow formal
specification of arguments and return values. We suspect it leads to the dark
side.
