Thanks valeri, I actually think I saw a post somewhere which stated that some guy had his webserver and postgres running on a pentium 2 with 512 of RAM total, so I think I should be able to run it well.
In fact the server starts perfectly and very quickly, and also I have ran the initdb and all perfectly fine.
