The Linux kernel has more than enough contributors so it can afford to
introduce hurdles that will stop some contributor from contributing, but I
still consider this is against the spirit of FOSS which relies also in
considerable part on spontaneous one-off contributions (especially for bug
fixes).

Do you think Mageia has more than enough packagers that it's ok to lose
some due to unnecessary strict rules?
