I think this thread is starting to derail from a simple technical question limted to a specific issue (reenabling qt-dev) to an ideological argument based greatly on fear and paranoia.
Adding TrinityDE to Mageia, like adding any bigger software, is a gradual step by step process. I don't think anybody is planning an untested mass import of the whole load of TDE packages in one go. My idea is to first get the core TDE packages into Mageia cauldron (of course tested locally first) and then gradually look at the apps one by one (not necessarily me, any packager who is interested in TDE should of course participate). The core packages are quite limited in number (6-7 SRPMS), but already enable the use of TDE as desktop.
