This one is only pertinent in Cauldron, wxgtk2.8 wasn't changed in mga1 i.e. not built with --enabled-catch_segvs; that change in wxgtk2.8 shouldn't be in mga1, IMO, as it changes the symbols in the shared lib.... etc. >> - Build with wxgtku-devel for unicode support This one, yes; I think building with wxgtku-devel for unicode support is better.
