As most of you may have noticed,
we already needed to update Firefox for Mageia 1, as Mozilla EOL'ed older
firefox releases with each new one. For thunderbird the situation is a bit
different, in a short summary:
Thunderbird 6 has been released, and EOL'ed Thunderbird 5, available for
Cauldron.
From now there will be a new major release approx. every 6 weeks, similar to
Firefox.
Thunderbird 3.1.2, next security release from the 3.1 branch, and available
in updates_testing for Mageia 1. Upstream says it will support 3.1 branch
in parallel to latest stable as longas the discussion about Mozilla Enterprise
goes on, but no exact timeframe nor an estimate.
