You still can launch xsane from gimp, if you like, or do you mean
that you can directly call gimp from xsane? Also please remember, this
is only about the default scanning application for hplip (hp-scan).
xsane is ugly and needs a replacement.
That's what i meant. *buntu at least seem to have switched to using
simple-scan as default, maybe they have some patches for gimp? I'll take a look.
simple-scan looks nice but cannot be called from within gimp.
Maybe should we just change the user workflow
