Hi all,

Looking at a recent bugreport [1] I see that /etc/profile sources everything under /etc/profile.d/*.sh no matter what shell is being used. In this case this resulted in a small annoyance for the user as one of the scripts under there uses a bashishm that's not supported in all shells we ship.

Some questions I have on this is:

Is this really the correct way to do this? If not, how should this be fixed? If it is, why do we often also put the .csh script there if they are never picked up? (Or are they picked up through a different mechanism?).

Thanks,

Remmy
