You wiped _all_ of rpms databases and any tracking of what is
installed or not.
OK, apologies. Doesn't rebuilding the database replace that?
I guess 'rebuild the database' in this context means 'regenerate
structured content from primary raw data', but you also wiped the raw
data here...
