It seems their intent is to make this library completly independent of Suse technologies : http://nbprashanth.wordpress.com/2011/08/18/libyui-ported/ So it should build on non-OpenSUSE machine, and if it's not the case you can probably ask them for help. And their git repositories on github seems to have the latest versions tagged : https://github.com/libyui
