That would be interesting to find and discuss ideas to solve that problem, especially if it has been going on for years ... We are crucially lacking packagers/maintainers, so recruitment of packager apprentices is one solution. We saw that, for QA, blog/forum/mailing list posts were quite efficient in helping to recruit. Another idea is to involve packagers more on stable releases: maybe we could have a couple of bug squashing week-ends, in collaboration with QA and the bugsquad team, to sort out and fix many existing bugs on mga 1 and 2. -- Malo http://www.doc.ic.ac.uk/~malo/
