With the problem of having experienced people leaving, because "mandrake is a distribution for newbie, i am not a newbie, therefor, mandrake is not for me". This surely helped debian or fedora to get contributers. I have too often seen "the distribution work fine, but I wanted to try something else" ( or various stuff like summarized on http://www.greenfly.org/mes.html ), which is to say that the first distribution never get the benefit of making people switch to free software, which is bad. -- Michael Scherer
