The easiest way is to run Squid on your machine and point your browser to it,
then check the Squid logs. You can also install sarg and/or
squidanalyzer (currently available in Cauldron/mga2) to generate reports from
your squid logs to see which sites are receiving the most
connections and which are using the most bandwidth. Additionally, you can
install squidguard and do some domain or url regex blocking.

Probably the easiest thing to do, however, is to just add the Adblock Plus
addon to your browser (should already be installed in Konqueror,
easy download for Firefox) and subscribe to one of the ad-blocking lists, and
it'll eliminate a lot of that stuff for you.
