Is anybody using BOINC? http://http://boinc.berkeley.edu/
The version on their website is slightly newer than the version in Mageia2's repository, but it complains about a glibc problem. Is it sensible to try and install a different glibc? Or to link a new number to the existing file? Or modify boinc? Or use the older version of boinc? Or submit an upgrade request? (How do you do that?) [psd@test BOINC]$ ./run_manager ./boincmgr: /lib64/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.15' not found (required by ./boincmgr) [psd@test BOINC]$ ll /lib64/libc.so.6 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 14 Jul 15 13:31 /lib64/libc.so.6 -> libc-2.14.1.so* [psd@test BOINC]$ ll /lib64/libc-2* -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 1883280 Apr 28 13:23 /lib64/libc-2.14.1.so* [psd@test BOINC]$ rpm -qf /lib64/libc-2.14.1.so glibc-2.14.1-8.mga2 -- blind Pete Sig goes here...
