The best way, in my opinion, is to find out what motherboard is in the system, find the user manual online, and check it out. Given the story at http://www.h-online.com/security/news/item/Aldi-PC-becomes-first-retail-PC-with-UEFI-Secure-Boot-1635893.html at present, anything that has been on the market for more than 1 month, will NOT have secure boot available, let alone not be able to be disabled.
