BIOS has been around for about 30 years and it has been doing a tremendous job in coping with new improvements as they come - multiple hard drives, large capacity drives, partition sectors, ide, sata, lvm, usb, etc...

but...we should give it a nice retirement home.
and ...make sure microsoft do not spoil the new brat before its debut.
