My recent experiences with enterprise distros has been less than happy
and I'm seriously wondering whether I could use Mageia on the server
as well as on workstations.
My main need is for mail serving, for which I use
fetchmail/procmail/dovecot - are there any known problems around these
apps?
The disadvantage of changing is the need for frequent upgrades, but at
least 9 months is better than 6 months :-)
The release frequency is ~9 months, but it's supported 18 monts, so
you dont have to upgrade for every release...
The advantages of changing are the familiarity of working with a
single distro and the helpfulness of the Mageia lists and channels.
Has anyone any relevant experience?
I'm running several LAMP servers and some samba servers and have no
problem...
Most of Mageia infra is also running mga1 and some soon some on mga2
