Let's see if I have this straight:
Both computers use Mageia 2.
Both mice work with your computer.
Both mice do not work with your wife's computer.
Both mice show identical symptoms.
Hmmm. Sounds to me like a hardware problem with your wife's computer is
the most likely suspect.
