Are you sure that comma is unneeded?
I just asked a British and an American native English speaker in #mageia-doc.
They both agreed that in normal speech you don't pause after "please", but when
frustrated you can pause, like in:
"I've told you so many times now. Please, tidy your room."
Marja, that smells the very real life :-P
So the comma indicates a feeling of stress or irritation. It seems better to
remove it.
