I have a PNG which crashes PhotoShop CS (8.0) when opened. I tried
using IM to convert it from PNG to TIFF, but the TIFF now crashes
Photoshop also. I'm running Mac OS 10.4.10 with the latest release of
IM (6.3.6). I'm not sure if this is a bug in libtiff, libpng, or IM,
but I thought that this list would be a good place to start.
I'm thinking that there is something corrupt in the file, which
should be caught, but I don't know what. I know that PS can handle
images of that size, I've done it before. I would guess that the
correct behavior would be either for IM to fix the corrupted bit in
the saved TIFF, or to error out with a useful error message.
Any thoughts on this?
