ImageMagick v6.4.2 running on Win XP

convert A.gif -rotate 20 B.gif

a) Takes too long

A.gif is 0.9 Mb in size.

The above command takes 55 secs to complete.

On the same PC, using Paintshop Pro, the same rotation
takes < 1 sec to complete.

I would think it a serious `bug' if one program takes
50 times longer than another to do the same job on the same PC.

I tried the same command on a slower Linux PC but
the result was much the same.

b) Does not complete and probably has memory leak

Try the same command with in which A.gif is about 6 Mb

(i) Was taking so long I aborted.
The same takes a couple of seconds with Paint Shop Pro

(ii) After trying the command, the PC response was VERY sluggish.
It was as if almost the entire memory was occupied by
what was left of the convert -rotate command.
Had to reboot to render the PC useable.
