I was looking for an image processing library which can be used in
scientific applications.
What I've found is that some features like blob analysis and object
detection, counting etc are not available in ImageMagick.
Sorry If I've missed something from the specifications of ImageMagick.
Is it within the scope of the ImageMagick project to have
functionality that will be useful for
Industrial and Machine vision, Computer vision research and other
Scientific use ?
I like ImageMagick and have used it a fair bit as a user from Ruby,
PHP, C and the command line for basic stuff
but I would now like to work on the library itself but was wondering
if machine vision applications are welcome in ImageMagick.
One of the reasons I want ImageMagick to have these features is
because ImageMagick unlike OpenCV has bindings for quite a few
languages.
What you guys think about this?
