See -trim If you want to ensure you only trim a black border, add a black border using -border first. Close colors can also be trimmed using a -fuzz factor. See IM Examples -- Trim or the 'Auto-Crop' Operator http://www.cit.gu.edu.au/~anthony/graphics/imagick6/crop/#trim Other methods of trimming images are also welcome so that they may also be included in the above section of IM examples.
