The job is rather simple, I made an order system for a client, people can
design a postcard online.  The client wanted real time previews of the
variable data the user was entering in.  I rigged it with CSS as best as I
could since they did not want to invest the time to do it as an image.

Now the client wants to move to image generation, and email a pdf/jpg proof
to the end user.

Here is a sample of the front:

These are done, no manipulation needed, but they do need to either be part
of a page in the final pdf, or a second jpg in the email attachment.

All the data is in mysql, on OS X, with php, I do not have imagemagick
installed.  The image is static, the red line is static, a few other things,
but most of the data is dynamic.

There are a total of 6 different backs and fronts, as I said, the fronts are
simple.  Fonts are either Helvetica or Times.  I have been pretty strict
about data validation, you should not have to worry about wrap and overflow.
