Actually at this moment no one I know is working on it, (too many other
things). At the moment all we have is a proposal...

This is actually not quite a perspective transform, as lines in a
perspective transform are actually curved, trapezoidal leaves the lines
basically striaght.
I myself am working on 'jigsaw' techniques, and hopefully GIF
optimization again soon.
If someone would like to attempt to program the 'simplified' style of
trapezoidal transform, say using the -wave transform as a starting
point, then they are welcome to, sumbiting the new routine for
inclusion.

Hmmm.. This does not quite appear to be a trapezoidal/perspective
transform, though seems to be closely related. It is also definatally
non-linear however. Interesting effect, especally if combined with a
trapezoid transform so the image looks like it is being pulled out of
shape like taffy.
