Hi all,
I use imagemagick-6.2.8.0 and noticed, that this version (prior versions
I used worked) creates broken PNG images when the -color switch is used
with low values like 16.
The exact command is
$ foto.jpg -colors 16 png:- > foto.png
For higher values this works ok, but below a certain threshold the
resulting images are broken and look like this:

On the left part is the horizontally compressed image, on the right part
are vertical stripes only.
