I have a scanner image (*. tiff ) , it look like a normal bank opening
account form with only text , check box in black and white. The file size is
only 70kb ( A4 image ). However, i am creating an exactly same image (save
as *.tiff ) as the scanner image using my pc but the file size turns up very
large ( 490KB) . Therefore, I am looking for a solution to minimize the
file size but achieve the same result as the scanner image. Using the image
magick technique like monochrome and grayscale, i still cannot obtain the
result i want because through monochrome ( file size is a lot smaller but
almost can't read the word ) . Through grayscale, the file size remains the
same. So may i know any other method which i can try to achieve a pleasant
result but small file size? Does any expert know why using scanner, v can
obtain a very clear image with very small file size?
