| Hi,
| i am a newbie
| i want to install Imagemagick to Godaddy but havent succeded for 3 days.
| It is Fedora 4 Os.
| Yum command is disabled by Godaddy.
| I have tried nonroot method and root install method,
| both from binaries and from sources but nothing happens
| My script says
| The installer found the ImageMagick 'convert' program in '/usr/local/bin/',
however it can't be executed by the script.
| at last. I have tried to change owner and groups of /usr/local/bin and chmod
777 all files under it but again this message
| happens.
| Is there any body who knows to install Imagemagick on a Godaddy Virtual
Dedicated Server?
| or
| Is there any one who knows a better hosting company because i have written
more than 30 emails to GoDaddy support, even some support team does not know
that their yum command is disabled.
| Thanx
|
For fedora core 4 I would compile up a local version of the RPM...

Download the .src.rpm file and as root run...

nice rpmbuild --nodeps --rebuild ImageMagick-*.src.rpm

The final RPMs should be in
   /usr/src/redhat/RPMS/i386/

ASIDE: if you don't use any other srpms' clean out the
build area (when finished) with...
 rm -rf /usr/src/redhat/RPMS/*/* /usr/src/redhat/{SOURCES,SPECS,BUILD}/*
