| | Hello,
| | I try to add image comments that contain backslashes and/or percentage
| | signs but I am not having much success. Consider the following
| | example:
| |
| | $ convert -comment 'test\123\456\n%%w' logo: png:- | identify \
| | -format '%c' png:-
| |
| | Its output for ImageMagick 6.2.3 and some earlier versions, which were
| | available for testing:
| |
| | test\123\456
| | 640
| |
| | For ImageMagick 6.2.4:
| |
| | test1346
| | 641

| VERIFIED as FAILING on the latest beta... IM v6.3.2-6 Feb 14 23:??
|
| The escaping of escapes is failing!
|
And now with the latest beta IM v6.3.2-8 it is now working.
Thanks Cristy.

Also all escapes in strings read from a pre-prepared file
EG: label:@label.txt
is now completely ignored, meaning you nolonger need to pre-process
label: and caption: from files just as you don't need to for text:

However the '@' escape is not yet available for use in -label,
-comment or there -set equivelents YET

The problem here is that these do not apply escapes immediately but only
later when that are assigned to the image (as they are read in). That
means when read from file is implemented, any escapes from that source
needs to be 'doubled' by IM so as to preverse the 'no escapes from
files' handling rule, that has now been implemented.
