We cannot reproduce the problem. We converted your image to PNG as Q16 and then again as Q16 HDRI. When we compare the two images we get exactly the same image (e.g. compare -metric pae q16.png q16hdri.png diff.png). What OS are you compiling ImageMagick under? What compiler? > I realize OpenEXR support is experimental That's just to scare away the timid. OpenEXR and HDRI is fully supported.
