Do you have a pointer to cross1.jpg and cross2.jpg?
As far as I can see the above should do exactly as you describe
Hmmm making cross1.jpg a negated rose, and cross2.jpg a normal rose
image....
convert \( rose: -negate -crop 50%x100% +swap +append \) \
\( rose: -crop 50%x100% +swap +append \) \
-append x:
yeap that is working...
I can not find anything wrong. At least not under linux.
NOTE: -append (currently) completely ignores 'virtual canvas' or page
information. A check with +repage added produced the same result.
I think I'll need to try it with your images, to figure it out.
