hi there,
it´s me again with some additional information.
i did a quick html page to explain better what i mean.
what really bothers me is that imagemagick used to do the resizing exactly like i want it to, but now doesn´t anymore and i can´t get the result i want even if i do all the stuff in png space.
here´s the page: http://rss.fork.de/test_im/
kind regards and thanks,
alexander

I've seen that something like this does the nicest resizing on non-animated
gifs:

convert your.gif png:- | convert - -resize 100x100 png:- | convert - out.gif

Onderwerp: [magick-users] resize problem with transparent gifs

hi there,
i have a question regarding the resizing of gifs with a transparent color. i´m using rmagick to do this, but the convert program in the console gives the same results. i have gif images that contain antialiased text with the backgroundcolor set transparent. if i resize them with foo.resize(0.25) while keeping the format as gif the results are perfect in every imagemagick below 6.2.2 (i think.. haven´t tested them all) but with every version above 6.2.2 the antialiasing is totally broken and the images look far from good. so my question is: is there any way i can emulate the old behaviour with new imagemagick versions?
thank you all very much
alexander
