Dear Magickians,

Do you think the following is a bug in IM or Ghostscript or in your humble
reporter?

I have a PNG with plenty of alpha channel. I wanted an EPS with same, so I
gathered that I needed EPS3, which I read supports alpha (though I have
files claiming to be PS-Adobe-2.0 EPSF-1.2 that have alpha, but no
matter). I proceeded thusly:

        convert eps3test.png EPS3:eps3test.eps

The input is here:

The output is here:

http://www.lsus.edu/sc/math/rmabry/imagemagick/eps3test.eps

Pretty awful, no?

I have a workaround for my own uses, so this is not urgent for me, but I
thought it worth mentioning.

ImageMagick 6.3.2 01/23/07 Q16 on WinXP.
