OK, I tried --disable-openmp. That doesn't seem to work, as libgomp is still being grabbed by the configure script. Since 6.3.5-10 was out, I tried that one, and it had a similar behavior: it was going to grab libgomp if it saw it. If I hide libgomp, then run configure with --disable-openmp, the configure tests for it fail and finally it's left out. Built like this, I've not seen the previously reported errors. (Don't forget to put libgomp back in its original place.) After you run configure, in the summary display's LIBS variable, you can see if libgomp is going to be pulled in or not.

The pan icon (to navigate large images) is indeed fixed in this version.
