you probably used wrong arguments. How exactly did you start convert?
You may check google for some ImageMagick Convert Examples to see the
right way to resize images.
What makes you say that?
I think the original error msg is saying that OP's (*) version of IM was
not compiled with JPG support.
What we need is for OP to tell us which version they are using, and the
exact command which produced the given error msg.
(*) OP = original poster.
