I checked on www.imagemagick.org, but did not find a bug report link, so I'll mention it here.

When you go to insert a comment, the comment field is filled in with not your comment but the "@" sign and the name of the temp file that you entered your comment into.

Example: Open an image with 'display' for viewing in X. Left-click the image to bring up the large ImageMagick menu. Go to 'Image Edit' and select 'Comment'. On my system this launches Vim in an Xterm. Enter your comment. Later when you select 'Image Info' and look for the comment, something such as "@/tmp/magick-XX03fBqH" appears where you'd think the comment string would be.

I've seen this in ImageMagick-6.3.5 last night, then today I upgraded to what seems to the latest, ImageMagick-6.3.7-3, and observed the same thing. Built with gcc-4.2.2 on 2.6.23.8 x86 GNU/Linux.
