thank you, i appreciate those helpful remarks in the command lines for composite and borders... i have been reading up on it :-)
quick question as it pertains to syntax, if i run a command like: convert -crop x500 image.png output.png assuming this image was a 600x600 image, how would i rephrase this command line, so the only image it generates is a cropped 600x100 image? with that command it creates a 600x100 and a 600x500 image... i just want the top :) -- Want an e-mail address like mine?
