Sorry, I never use BMP. I work mostly on MAC/Unix.  But I have never 
had trouble with IM created files in any format but TIFF loading them 
into PS or any of my Mac imaging tools.

Perhaps there is something odd about your image or your image 
delegates. Are you using an IM binary or are you installing IM from 
source. If the latter, be sure your delegate libraries are current 
and installed correctly.

Check your IM configuration to see what delegates you have installed

convert -list configure


What version of IM are you using - try to use the latest and not some 
old version. Also are you using XP or Vista?


That is about all I can suggest.


If you want to post a link to a BMP file that you are having trouble 
with. I can see if I can load it into PS.
