You likely need to install the freetype and ghostscript delegate 
libraries. To check type:

convert -list configure

and look at the line that starts with DELEGATES. Mine says:

DELEGATES     bzlib fontconfig freetype gs jpeg jp2 lcms lqr openexr 
png tiff x11 xml zlib
