I have tried to make a web index of images: http://www.ia-stud.hiof.no/~kjellare/misc/montage2.png
... and love the montage command in imagemagick. I would however like to make a numbered image index more like this: http://www.ia-stud.hiof.no/~kjellare/misc/web_album.jpg ...but is not sure if this is possible using the montage command. Will I need to build my own montage command that does this from scratch using imagemagick commands and a series of other tools using bash-scripts or ingest an incremented number somewhere in the exif- header and use that?
