Sorry, I didn't indicate the OS, It's SuSe linux, Will it work when copying the configuration files along with the executables? what's the configuration files? and what's the effect of initializing the IM environment? The pre-compiled binary distributions of ImageMagick for Windows requires the Windows registry and therefore simply copying the executable file from one computer to the next is not sufficient. Instead you need to build ImageMagick from source. The default build produces executables that do not require the Windows registry.
