thanks for the answer, but it doesn't fit my needs, as resample changes the number of pixels (resolution) of the image, not the size. I want to keep my 1480x740 pixels, but in 3x1,5 inches image (it means, 480 dpi). I have used "convert -density 480x480 x y" to force IM to resize the image (not in pixels but the printing size). Now identify says...
Geometry: 1480x740+0+0 Resolution: 480x480 Print size: 3.08333x1.54167 That's what I need (original resolution was 72x72, even with 1480x740) but when I add this image to OpenOffice it appears as 6x3 inches (that's the double of Print size), as if it were still in 72x72 resolution. I hope I make me understand. thanks, Pere 2009/2/16 <[email protected]> > > I see that resizing is only useful with pixels... > > That a look at the -resample option which resizes based on the image > resolution. > -- Pere Roca Ristol Biòleg i especialista GIS Museo Nacional de Ciencias Naturales (CSIC) Visita l'EDIT mapViewer! http://edit.csic.es/edit_geo/prototype/edit.html _______________________________________________ Magick-users mailing list [email protected] http://studio.imagemagick.org/mailman/listinfo/magick-users
