Thank you very much for your quick response. Still an issue, I'm sorry to say. I hadn't noticed configure.exe, and the various instructions available are always explicit about having to compile the program yourself, so to be honest I didn't look for it. The precompiled configure program is compiled in visual studio 2008, but unfortunately has been compiled in the debug configuration. This is in the latest 6.5.0 windows package. The debug versions of the MFC runtime are not redistributable according to http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms235264.aspx and so I have no way of running it. Would I be better off using some other known good version of ImageMagick? Or even would it be possible for a release version of configure.exe be made available separately?
