On approximately 9/10/2009 8:33 PM, came the following characters from 
the keyboard of Fred Weinhaus:

I may well be misusing -flatten, but I don't know why it would care 
whether I did page or repage.  But the above command produces the same 
"double size" effect for in.jpg, so definitely isn't what I want.
