Hi, Recently we have been observing issues while converting the JPEG image content using the Imagemagick tool. We are using the ImageMackick 5.5.7.
In current version ImageMagick, operations on Jpeg are serialized by putting semaphores. ImageMagick mainline i.e. trunk also has same issue. After going through forum (http://www.imagemagick.org/discourse-server/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=8702)<http://www.imagemagick.org/discourse-server/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=8702%29> came to know that JPEG delegate library i.e. Jasper is not thread safe. The issue is the delegator package used to convert the JPEG image, is single threaded, and causing lot of performance related issues. Any updates on this particular issue resolution in the latest version of Imagemagick and the other tools used in it? Any pointers/workaround will greatly help understand the solution to this problem.
