I think that 'stage all' used to work for unstaged files at one time or
another.

That's what I do as well at the moment, but I would really prefer to
have the option to stage all unstaged files as I usually keep my repos
clean. Either files are staged or they're ignored. So having 'stage all'
work for untracked files would really be a plus for me.
