Hello, I'm just starting to try magit, installed from melpa. I was delighted to find some online help for the tool but got quickly confused. Here is my situation.
I created a new git repository and created a new text file in Emacs. I then did M-x magit-status and Emacs brought up the magit status screen that showed that I had my untracked text file (plus the text file's backup). Wondering what actions/keys are available to me in this buffer, I pressed the ? key which brought up the "Actions" window. The window was called *magit-key: dispatch*. It shows many keys and their actions, but it seems this is not the set of actions that I can actually invoke in the magit-status window. For example, it shows s as Show Status, but s is actually stage. Did I confuse myself thinking the ? key brings up the magit-status windows' help screen? -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "magit" group.
