Not sure if I have made it the most elegant way. IMHO suggested additional dialog box overloads the interface.
Another idea that I had is to remove "Hide" icon completely and add small checkbox (ticked off by default) underneath homeinfo box with a sign "Show this box next time you login", when one would uncheck it, the sign would change to "You can make this box visible any time in Settings". ** Changed in: mahara Status: Confirmed => Fix Committed -- Help for getting the dashboard back https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/620261 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Mahara Contributors, which is subscribed to Mahara. Status in Mahara ePortfolio: Fix Committed Bug description: The explanations of how to use Mahara on the dashboard page can be removed from the homepage too easily by clicking on the remove button and it's gone. A number of people I talked to wanted to have it back, but don't know how to do that. It's hidden away in a user's settings. Could the remove button get a pop-up message like "You are about to remove the information on how to use Mahara. If you want to display it again, you can get it back in your Settings." (buttons Cancel and Delete [I think these are the standard buttons])? _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~mahara-contributors Post to : mahara-contributors@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~mahara-contributors More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
