Hi Ruslan and Richard, My dialog box would have only appeared when the user clicked the remove button. Maybe I was not explaining it well. :-( I am OK with the system message because even if a person reads the message, they won't remember in 2 weeks time where they can change the settings.
I think we'd have to have a clear entry in the user guide of how to get that box back. Maybe we can even identify 10 or more FAQ and handle them separately. Status in Mahara ePortfolio: Fix Committed Bug description: The explanations of how to use Mahara on the dashboard page can be removed from the homepage too easily by clicking on the remove button and it's gone. A number of people I talked to wanted to have it back, but don't know how to do that. It's hidden away in a user's settings. Could the remove button get a pop-up message like "You are about to remove the information on how to use Mahara. If you want to display it again, you can get it back in your Settings." (buttons Cancel and Delete [I think these are the standard buttons])? _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~mahara-contributors Post to : mahara-contributors@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~mahara-contributors More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
