The implementation is "Sort by auth method" in the user table. This has been implemented as part of bug #1166499

If you have multiple auth methods set up and you need to change users from one to another, you would have to go into each account to find out the auth method or you would need to do a DB query. It would be better if it were possible to have the auth method displayed in one of the columns and filter by it. I would not put the auth method into the drop-down menu where you can choose the institutions because then you would never be able to see all users of one institution if you had multiple auth methods.
